THE SCRIPTURE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. We accept the New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and teaching (2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess. 2:13: 2 Pet. 1:21).
THE GODHEAD
Our God, Jehovah, is one but is manifest in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, being co-equal (1 John 5:7; Phil. 2:6).
MAN, HIS FALL & REDEMPTION
Man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Jesus, the Son of God, was manifest to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:12, Rom. 5:23, 1 John 1:3). Salvation is the gift of God to man, and operates by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Eph. 2:8).
ETERNAL LIFE & NEW BIRTH
The new birth takes place when we confess Jesus as Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead for us. This is an act of faith and not a feeling. Feelings come and go, but the Word of God never changes (Rom. 10: 9-10). When we sincerely make that confession, we make Jesus our Lord and heaven our home. 2 Cor. 5:17 says, “If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold all things are made new.”
WATER BAPTISM
Baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment of our Lord. It is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His burial, and resurrection (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Acts 8:36-39).
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God. It is promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers and is received after the new birth. This experience is followed by the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38, 39; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 2:4).
SANCTIFICATION
We are made pure and holy when we are born of God. We keep ourselves pure and holy as we yield to the correction and instruction of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Rom. 12:1, 2).
DIVINE HEALING
Jesus paid the price for healing of our bodies and minds. We receive this healing when we believe God’s Word. Praying and laying on of hands by the elders may help us to receive healing. (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-25; 1 Peter 2:24; Matt. 8:17; Is. 53:4-5).
PROSPERITY
God desires that his people prosper. Let the Lord be magnified which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant (Ps. 35:27). Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers (3 Jn 2). Thou shall remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that gives thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant (Duet. 8:18).
RESURRECTION OF THE JUST & THE RETURN OF THE LORD “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ will rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thess. 4:16, 17).
HELL & SEPARATION FROM GOD
The one who dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and forever lost in the Lake of Fire and therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The Lake of Fire is a literal place of existence void of love and peace (Rev. 20:11-15, 21:8).
